New Children's Officer for Down and Dromore.

Julie Currie, a parishioner of Belvoir, has been appointed to the new post  of Children’s Officer for Down and Dromore.

She brings12 years teaching experience and 6 years as the Children and Youth Coordinator with CMS Ireland. She has worked with children and young people in many different roles; as a primary school teacher, Crusader (Urban Saints) leader, Brownie Guider, Sunday school teacher and camp and overseas team leader. Her home parish is Belvoir in Belfast.

Julie will work to initiate, facilitate, train, communicate and encourage children’s work, in whatever guise, in the parishes throughout Down and Dromore. She will highlight the importance that children bring to the whole life of the church and their place within this.
