Concert: Irish Baroque Orchestra - Dublin

The Irish Baroque Orchestra Chamber Soloists present a concert of 'The Three Fiddlers' featuring Monica Huggett (artistic director),Claire Duff and Emilia Benjamin. This concert celebrates the acousticperfection of the four-stringed fiddle which acquired such a rich repertoire in the seventeenth-century, and presents the best of the three-violin works concluding with the Vivaldi's jubilant homage to his favourite instrument. The programme will include works by Bach, Bertali, Castello,Marini, Pachelbel, Purcell and Vivaldi. Tickets are 20 & 15 euro (concessions 16 & 12 euro) and are available online at:

Tues 23 St Werburgh’s Church - Dublin
The Irish Landmark Trust is to host a seminar onof St. Werburgh's Church. The day will commence in St. Werburgh's Church at 9.30am with a welcome from the vicar, the Ven. David Pierpoint, and a tour led by Paul Arnold Architects. Participants will then transfer to the Coach House at Dublin Castle, where speakers will address the history and context of the church, its current plight, and its future. The keynote address will be given by Eric Parry, of Eric Parry Architects in London - architects for the award-winning Renewal Project at St.Martin-in-the-Fields church. The Bishop of Cork will be attending the European Consortium for Church and State Research in the University of Trier, Germany, where he will read a paper on ‘Religion in Public Education in Ireland’
