Rector chalks up another fundraising marathon

Over 13,000 runners lined up in central Dublin attempting to complete the 31st Dublin marathon. It was perfect running weather with little wind and mild temperatures. Amongst the runners was Kevin Graham, rector of Movilla Abbey, hoping to do his best.

Kevin was running in his fourth Dublin marathon since 2000, when he ran his first. Each time he has completed the course raising funds for different charites including the Simon Community in Dublin, Royal Irish Benevolent Fund and this year for Macmillian Cancer Support following his wife's recent diagnosis with breast cancer
.
"We have been touched by the many who have supported us in practical ways and by prayer. This is our way of giving something back.", says Kevin.
Kevin successfully completed the course in his best time ever, 3hrs 45mins 54secs, taking 46mins of his previous best time set in 2000. Thanks to all who supported him in his fundraising run.
