The Rector of St Bartolomew’s Parish, Belfast will give a lecture on Tuesday, November 2, on “Theological Musings on the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence”.
Rev. Dr Ron Elsdon willl briefly review the assertions amongst astronomers, biologists and others that life does exist elsewhere in the universe.
Prior to ordination Dr Elsdon was an academic with a specific interest in physics and geology. St Bartholomew’s Church on the Stranmillis Road is close to Queen’s University and Stranmilis University College is in the parish area. The lecture is at 1.10 pm. There wil be time for questions and light refreshments are provided.
